Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on this website, what each group of them is for, and how you control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with the personal data they produce.
1. What these technologies are
A cookie is a small file a site stores on your device. We also use technologies that are not cookies but do a similar job: values kept in your browser’s local storage, tracking pixels loaded inside a page or an email, and identifiers we send from our own servers to an advertising or email provider. We call all of them trackers on this page, because what matters is what they do rather than where they are stored.
2. Essential trackers
These make the site work and run whether or not you consent to anything else, because without them there is no service to consent to. They remember your place in a flow, your language, your consent choice itself, and they keep the checkout secure and fraud-resistant together with our payment provider.
3. Non-essential trackers, by category
Everything below is off until you allow it, where consent is required. Each entry names the provider, because a category with no names in it tells you nothing.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Amplitude. How many people reach each step, where they stop, which version of a page performs better, and session recordings of how a page was used. Used to improve the product, not to advertise to you.
- Marketing — the Meta pixel in your browser, and Meta's Conversions API from our servers. Measures which advertisement led to a purchase and lets us build advertising audiences. The server-side half sends Meta the same conversion with a matching identifier so one purchase is not counted twice; it is not a cookie, but it is the same purpose and the same consent.
- Email — Customer.io. Sends the transactional email your order needs and, where you agreed to it, our marketing email; tracking pixels in those emails tell us whether a message was opened or clicked.
The providers above set their own trackers under their own policies, and Google and Meta act for their own purposes as well as ours. We do not sell the data any of them collect.
4. Your choice, and how to change it
Where consent is required, we ask for it in a banner the first time you arrive, and nothing in section 3 runs before you accept. Declining leaves the essential trackers only, and the site works. Your choice is remembered on your device, so clearing your browser storage makes the banner ask again. To change it now, use — that re-opens the same banner, and whichever answer you give replaces the stored one. You can also withdraw your consent at any time by writing to support@pathwell.me.
5. Browser and platform controls
Independently of us, your browser can block or delete cookies, and its settings explain how. Blocking essential cookies will break parts of the site. Advertising platforms also offer their own opt-outs in your account settings there.
6. Changes and questions
We update this page when our trackers change. The version here is always the current one, and questions go to support@pathwell.me.
